After the vanishing of an old peasant, two people whose lives are linked with the absentee in different ways come to know each other on his abandoned farm. Over one day and one night, his young granddaughter Saskia and his seasonal worker Momo, two figures at a turning point, come to converge across the void and leave together.

Kokou, from Togo, is a cleaner dreaming of becoming a football manager in Israel. Philo wants to become a business woman like she was in Congo. They both came to learn Hebrew in a class of African refugees, but instead received a major lesson in "Israeliness" from the local teacher.

Visitors from a distant place appear in the misty swamps of Northern Finland. As harmless as they are, their foreign presence unwittingly disrupts the pace of local habits. They have come to look for berries, an activity that all of a sudden seems to embody all the values of local culture. Who is to blame and where do the profits end up? How to Pick Berries is an exploration of Finnish mind and the absurdities of global economy.

In November 2009 six convicts from the US prison in Guantánamo Bay were given temporary permission to stay in the State of Palau. These men are part of China's repressed Uighur Muslim minority. They cannot leave the South Sea Island, and are therefore living as prisoners in Paradise.
Recardo, 7 years old, a gipsy boy, lives in Bruxelles. He is, despite himself, the link between gipsy and Belgian culture.

April, 7 2010. There is a meeting in the center of Bishkek. Many people came, knowing that it's dangerous to be there, knowing that they'll be shot. It's really happened. They were shot. People died, but nobody went out. The hero knew what would happen to him, despite that, he didn't change his decision to participate in the meeting.

Abed, a young Palestinian, enters Israel illegally by passing under the Wall, through the sewers. He works in a restaurant in the West of Jerusalem. On his day off, Abed decides to go home with a mysterious white box. It is the beginning of a long journey.
